During our stroll in Kyoto's Gion district we have encountered many beautiful geishas, quintessential symbols of Japanese tradition and culture.

But will you ever see a blushing Geisha? Her "oshiroi" white powder foundation will probably never allow such an intimate glance.

Open this tote and you will see it's peach-pink interior, reminding us of the beautiful blushing cheeks of a shy and delicate person.

We are aware of this being a Japonaiserie rather than a Chinoiserie fabric.

We have nevertheless decided to add it to Chinoiserie Voyages, the common denominator of these two movements being the exotic-oriental origin as well as the distinct aesthetics of their compositional elements.
